Meet Eric Brooks, an architect with a passion for sustainable design and community engagement. With a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Wyoming, Eric brings over three decades of invaluable experience to the table.
As a licensed architect in the state of Washington since 2009, Eric is committed to pushing the boundaries of environmentally conscious design. His expertise extends beyond traditional architectural realms, encompassing LEED AP certification for New Construction, REVIT proficiency, and specialized training in lighting design and design computing.
With a diverse portfolio spanning residential and light commercial projects, Eric's hands-on approach covers every aspect of the construction process, from foundation work to intricate finish carpentry. His mastery extends to environmental systems, daylighting strategies, and resource-efficient design solutions, showcasing a holistic understanding of sustainable architecture.
Eric's professional journey is marked by a dedication to community involvement and advocacy. Serving as a City of Sammamish Planning Commissioner from 2015 to 2020 and a board member of the Sammamish Heritage Society from 2015 to 2018, he has actively contributed to shaping his local environment. His collaborative efforts with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Yakima Nation Housing Authority underscore his commitment to creating meaningful social impact through design.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Eric remains deeply invested in educational outreach, serving as an Issaquah School District Art Docent since 2014. His involvement in projects such as the reconstruction of the iconic "Stairs to Nowhere" sculpture at the University of Washington reflects his dedication to enriching both cultural heritage and architectural discourse.
